Chapters 23-27
This is the final part in the story where it all comes together. Will Giles realize his selfish ways before it’s too late? or will everything fail and all of humanity sent to a jail in space? A very important quote is when Tula says "the Stellar Nursery is the most inhospitable place in the entire universe. There is only one-in ten chance you'll survive"(233) At this point in the book he has saved the world and he is just trying to save his Grandma in a selfless act. This part is similar to the movie 300 where all 300 Spartans sacrifice themselves for Greece to prepare for the Persian army which is another selfless act. Although this is a cliché considering it happens a lot in movies it shows how developed the characters have become and that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for others. When Giles says "It tasted like every delicious thing I’d ever sipped. Every butterscotch shake, every hot fudge malt, every can of mountain dew, every strawberry-banana-acai smoothie."(238) this shows taste imagery very well. Also when Giles says "shrouded in bloody mist, veined with lightning." shows imagery quite well also because you can really picture yourself being there. The main reason why I liked this novel was because of the fact that is so open to anything and was very relatable on a lot of levels including. The fact that he doesn't like his brother, also how he says dude a lot which is uncommon from the books that I normally read but it’s a nice change. All in all I felt this novel had some I unnecessary points and some points that they missed. But it thought it was pretty good.
